Therapist for Individuals and Couples in Charlotte, NC

Toni Mason Profile Picture.jpeg

I enjoy working with individuals and couples (21+) of all backgrounds who are working through life transitions, anxiety, cultural diversity issues and grief. I operate primarily from a CBT perspective. I also integrate DBT skills and Gottman techniques as well.

I specialize in working with older adults (60+), veterans, couples and folx in LGBTQIA+ community (including polyamory/ethical non-monogamy). Recognizing and changing old patterns can be difficult work but you don't have to take that journey alone. People who find my style of counseling most useful tend to appreciate a gentle but direct approach.

I have also received training through Postpartum Support International in Perinatal Mood & Anxiety Disorders, providing me with specialized tools to work with women and mothers going through pregnancy, postpartum or infertility.

About me: I graduated from East Carolina University with my Bachelor of Science degree in Communication with a concentration in Public Relations in 2017. I completed my Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. In my free time I enjoy reading, traveling, hanging out with friends & family and baking.

Self-work is some of the hardest work there is but it can also be the most rewarding. If you are looking for someone to help you navigate that journey, I provide an affirming space to be heard, understood and accepted while you work towards your goals. I am now accepting clients and look forward to meeting you!
