"Healing from Within: A Somatic Approach to Trauma and Stress" warmly welcomes those navigating unresolved trauma, even amidst outward success. Life's complexities sometimes leave us feeling disconnected, like we're just going through the motions. Despite your resilience and insight into what needs to change, there's a lingering ache, a part of your story that hasn't found its resolution.

Led by Tameka Whittlesey, our group offers a compassionate journey toward healing. We'll explore Somatic Experiencing (SE) techniques together, using a body-centered approach to gently address the lingering effects of trauma. Through this process, we'll rediscover parts of ourselves that may have been tucked away during times of survival, unlocking the potential for true healing and authenticity.

In our safe and nurturing space, you'll find support to unravel the layers of pain and reclaim a sense of wholeness. Your journey toward healing begins here, and we're here to walk beside you every step of the way.

1. Reconnect with Self: Embrace all facets of your being, even those hidden by past traumas.

2. Emotional Exploration: Cultivate a safe space to navigate and express suppressed emotions openly.

3. Somatic Connection and Integration: Employ body-centered techniques to connect the physical manifestations of trauma with the mind.

4. Empowerment: Identify personal strengths and resources, empowering you to authentically heal.

5. Community Support: Foster a sense of belonging and mutual understanding among group members.

6. Psychoeducation on Brain and Nervous System: Gain insights into how trauma impacts the brain and nervous system, unraveling the connection between stress responses and somatic sensations.

7. Understanding Trauma Responses: Learn about the four trauma responses—Fight, Flight, Freeze, and Fawn—and their manifestations in the body and behavior.
