Therapist in Charlotte, NC

Greetings,
Thank you for stopping by and congratulations on having the courage to choose YOU today. Women have a mighty job of balancing work life, home life, health issues, etc. It can start to make you feel disconnected and turn into a struggle to manage overwhelming emotions.
I am committed to helping women identify and build on their strengths to promote the change that they desire. Let’s talk about your fears, process the trauma or grief, and maybe vent about normal routine events in your life. We will work together to achieve self awareness, re-establish peace and confidence within.
Does your relationship feel draining or entangled, leaving you uncertain about what to do and "stuck"?
Did you recently have a baby and you are experiencing emotions that make you feel drained, anxious, and/or depressed?
Are there childhood issues and trauma that you want to process because it is now affecting you as an adult?
Are you a single parent, feeling overwhelmed and isolated with minimal resources?
Maybe you are a burned out "people pleaser" who just wants to focus on YOU again?
Is the stage of life transition becoming more difficult than you anticipated?
Do you simply want to vent and talk with someone who won't be judgmental and critical?
No matter what your life scenario might be, you are not alone!!!

I have training in Perinatal Mood and Anxiety Disorders and trauma treatment. This allows me to focus on a wide range of symptoms including depression, anxiety, grief, caregiver stress, and family issues. Together, we will create a safe space for you to feel comfortable, heard, valued, and empowered to reach your life goals. You will be the driver of this journey and I will be your passenger ready and willing to provide support. I will use CBT, DBT, and strengths based theory to guide the therapeutic journey.
I am a licensed clinical social worker associate (LCSWA) originally from the Hudson Valley area in New York. With over 15 years of experience, I have worked with children and families across school-based, clinical, and social services settings. I am very passionate about helping people identify and build upon their strengths, empowering them to become self-sufficient and regain emotional freedom.
Outside of my professional work, I enjoy traveling and spending quality time with family and friends.
As an associate, I receive supervision from Tameka Whittlesey, LCSW, LCASA.
